Mt. Irenaeus

Executive Director

Welcome to Mt. Irenaeus. Our community is rooted in the Franciscan tradition. We are committed to simple, joyful, healing communion with God and all creation through contemplation and the communal experience of God's justice, love and peace in contemporary everyday life.

Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspired (and inspiring) leader to guide and live our Gospel Manner of Life and Ministry at all levels of this vital and well-respected Franciscan institution in its ongoing efforts to fulfill the promise of its rich history and mission. As chief operations officer, the Executive Director (ED) will provide vision and strategic planning for Mt. Irenaeus in concert with its mission and vision. Working within our collaborative management model the ED plays a lead role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Mountain. Working side by side with our resident friar community, Animator, Guardian, Coordinator of Ministries,  Board of Trustees, Mountain Companions, lay staff and student leaders, the ED will be a co-contributor in the mission of the Mountain to join with Jesus Christ in “making all things new.” Although the Mountain has many constituents, a large portion of our ministry happens with the students, faculty, staff and alumni of St. Bonaventure University.
