In “Of Many Things” back on April 20, 2009, I wrote about Fran Hezel, S.J., [3] and his Micronesian Seminar. Now Fran tells the story his way in a remarkable account of how he was missioned to Micronesia and how he views his mission today.

His story intersects with shifts the shifts in missiology in both the pre- and post-Vatican II Church. He also presents the history of the Jesuit involvement in those Pacific Islands. A remarkable story and extremely readable! The printed version, entitled “A Life at the Edge of the World,” by Francis X.
