It seems unfair that we Europeans can’t vote in tomorrow’s US election -- after all, we’ve followed every twist and turn of the campaign, and it’s not as if we’ll be unaffected by the result.

Anxious for a substitute, I’ve written an article for the British Jesuit online journal, Thinking Faith, under the title ’Obama and the politics of community organising’.

From Europe, meanwhile, a brief message for the 130-140m American voters expected to turn out tomorrow to vote for the next leader of the Free World in one of the most remarkable elections in US history:

No pressure, folks -- but don’t mess it up.
