As regular readers of America will know, the magazine has provided thoughtful and balanced commentary on the sexual abuse crisis since the reports of scandal first surfaced in the Boston Globe in 2002. Here we provide an archive of of our coverage, featuring articles from Thomas Reese, Cardinal Avery Dulles and Andrew Greeley, among many others.

Read "'America' on the Abuse Crisis."

Father Greg Boyle, or "G" or "G-Dog" as he is known in L.A., runs Homeboy Industries, the largest gang intervention program in the United States. His new book, Tattoos on the Heart, shares anecdotes of the "homies" and "home girls" he has met in his ministry. The book will be reviewed in a future issue of America, but an interview with the author, conducted at the L.A. Religious Education Congress, is now online.

Listen to my conversation with Father Boyle.

Finally, our editor, Father Drew Christiansen, was a key adviser to the bishops on questions of nuclear policy in the 1990s. Here, in our latest video commentary, he assesses the Obama administration's recent steps toward nuclear disarmament.
