Luke Hansen's writing may be known to America readers, but his day job—as the volunteer coordinator at Red Cloud Indian School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota—hasn't been quite so visible. However, a new special on ABC's 20/20 hopes to shed light on the land and people of the reservation, and includes visits to the Red Cloud Indian School, where Hansen works. Titled "Hidden America: Children of the Plains," the documentary aims to highlight the struggles and triumphs of the Oglala Sioux children who live there, often in poverty. The program is scheduled to air tomorrow, Oct. 14, at 10 p.m./9 p.m. Central. We're hoping Hansen will share his thoughts on the accuracy of the completed project once it airs, so check back for updates. Watch a preview here.

Vance, who converted to Catholicism in 2019, attended the liturgy with his wife, Usha, a practicing Hindu, and his three children after meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni earlier in the day.
My Catholic identity and my wife’s Protestant identity continue to endure, and our faith has developed together in greater harmony, knowing that our love for each other was ultimately grounded in our love for God.
