You can now subscribe to America magazine via the Amazon Kindle. For $2.99/month you will receive the latest issue automatically downloaded to your device. You can also buy individual issues for $1.49.

A 14-day free trial is available for first-time users. Sign up here, or by searching for America Magazine in the Kindle store.

What about current web or print subscribers?  Is the Kindle version included or an extra charge?

Too bad it can't somehow be worked into the subscription price.  For those of us who provide added support to "America" this would be a nice "thank you."

This is great news!
Because of the continuing "tardy" arrival of America here in Canada, I was considering letting my print subscription lapse when it comes due in January - instead, I will certainly subscsribe to the Kindle edition at that time.
I will be interested to see how you handle the various photo / illustrations that usually appear in the print edition in the new Kindle edition.

My print edition arrives at totally unpredictable times. All my other periodicals arrive as expected. (hmm) Thus, the Kindle version is attractive. Will I be able to share my Kindle copy with other Kindle users as I currently do with my paper edition?

Will you be offering America for the Barnes and Noble Nook?

Gerry: at the moment the Kindle edition does not include photos. We hope to add them in the future.

Jim: Right now Amazon does not allow for sharing of periodicals. If you share an Amazon account with a family member who also has a Kindle, though, you will both receive the subscription to America.

Gene: we have made our application to Barnes & Noble. Stay tuned.
