As we enter the holy season of Advent and Christmas, we can feel great gratitude for the blessings of this transformative year in the life of the church.
From Pope Francis’ groundbreaking encyclical “Laudato Si'” to the Holy Father’s remarkable visit to the United States to the challenging conversation at the Synod on the Family in Rome, it has been a historic time addressing the most important issues that face our society and our church.
We at America Media have also experienced a transformational year, adding several contributing editors and international correspondents to our masthead, hosting several events and two pilgrimages to the Holy Land and Ignatian Spain, launching new awards and programs for Catholic journalists as well as enhancing our digital and video capabilities to fully realize our vision as a dynamic multi-platform media ministry.
Dedicated to our mission to provide “a smart Catholic take on faith and culture,” we’ve worked tirelessly to inform and inspire our America Media community to take part in the conversation at the intersection of the church and the world. It is a community committed to pursuing the truth in love and to having a civic and ecclesial discourse that is intelligent, balanced and above all charitable.
As you can see in the video below, we have been blessed with increased engagement and generosity as the testimonials of our loyal subscribers and supporters deeply affirm the value of America over the years and the importance of our new multi-platform approach to continue to thrive in today’s media world.
Please consider a donation to America Media to support our ongoing efforts and to celebrate this holy season of charity and gratitude.
Without the support we receive each holiday season, we would not be able to sustain our commitment to excellence. A contribution to our Christmas appeal will go directly toward our most immediate and pressing financial needs and will enable us to continue and broaden our efforts to lead the conversation about faith and culture in the United States.
Many of you have supported us for decades, through fair and foul, changing editors, changing times and a changing church. Christmas is the time for thanks, so on behalf of all of us at America Media: Thank you. You are warmly remembered in our Masses and prayers each and every week.
