Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney is the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Paterson, in northern New Jersey. He was installed on July 1, 2020, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson. Bishop Sweeney is a native of Queens, New York and on June 28, 1997, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Brooklyn by Bishop Thomas Daily. He produces a weekly podcast entitled Beyond The Beacon.
