“Brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit, Who in the beginning transformed chaos into cosmos, is at work to bring about this transformation in every person,” Pope Francis said in his general audience today.
“Brothers and sisters, humility is everything. It is what saves us from the Evil One,” Pope Francis said at today’s general audience, concluding his cycle of catechesis on virtue.
During an audience with a delegation from Loyola University Chicago at the Vatican on May 20, Pope Francis said, “Education happens on three levels: the head, the heart and the hands.”
“In our days, love is on the lips of many ‘influencers’ and in the refrains of many songs,” Pope Francis said in today’s general audience on the theological virtue of charity. “We speak a lot about love, but what is love?”
Pope Francis delivered his general audience today about the theological virtue of hope. Francis said that if Christians have hope for the future, it is because “Christ died and rose again and gave us His Spirit.”
During his general audience, Pope Francis reminded his listeners of the importance of the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity. Engaging the crowd by having them recite the virtues aloud, Francis said that theological virtues animate our everyday actions toward the good.
