The U.S. Catholic bishops are meeting in Orlando, Florida, next week for three days of prayer and business. If you were asked by your local bishop what topics they should discuss, what would you suggest?

The Vatican on Monday urged the Catholic faithful, and especially bishops, to be “reflective, not reactive” on social media, issuing guidelines to try to tame the toxicity on Catholic Twitter.

In response to the crash in Brownsville, Bishop Flores said, “We must resist the corrosive tendency to devalue the lives of immigrants, the poor, and the vulnerable.”

Archbishop Robert F. Prevost, who took the helm at the Dicastery for Bishops in mid-April, said because a bishop is called to serve an entire diocese, not just the priests, “listening to the people of God is also important.”
