Lent is a humble descent both inwards and towards others. It is about realizing that salvation is not an ascent to glory, but a descent in love.

God’s forgiveness, offered also through our words and actions, enables us to experience an Easter of fraternity.

The person who prays is like someone in love who always bears the beloved in his or her heart wherever they go.

Because the liturgy is the source and summit of our Christian prayer, all of us are called to take an active part in this great act of worship, by offering our own lives in union with Christ as a holy and pleasing sacrifice to the Father.
