Vice President for Advancement

Dan Pawlus most recently served as VP for Philanthropy at Odyssey Networks, a multi-faith media organization, where he lead all development efforts including board development, annual giving, foundation relations and major gifts while building a culture of philanthropy. Prior to Odyssey, Dan was VP of Communications for Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), a youth movement organization that seeks to make interfaith cooperation a social norm. In his role, he oversaw all media efforts, web site development, video/content production and branding initiatives. Dan previously worked as the Director of Development / Major Gifts at Catholic Extension Society, a national Catholic non-profit raising millions for the mission dioceses across the country. He also co-hosted "30 Good Minutes," a weekly interfaith talk show, on WTTW 11(PBS) in Chicago for eight years. His writings on faith issues have appeared in The Faith Divide/Washington Post blog, Good Morning America’s Spirituality blog as well as Chicago Catholic News.

Dan has an eclectic professional background that includes extensive work in the entertainment business, corporate communications industry and non-profit sector. He worked in the Hollywood television development world for the award-winning Greenblatt Janollari Studio on such shows as Six Feet Under, as well as for Fremantle Media whose shows included Family Feud and The Price Is Right. Dan has also been very fortunate to be involved in music ministry and lay activities at dynamic parishes across the country including St. Monica's Parish Community in Santa, Monica, CA and Old St. Pat's in Chicago, IL. His proudest accomplishment is his family that includes his wife Leanna, son Luke, and beautiful twin girls Sofia and Alayna.
