Uwem Akpan, the Nigerian Jesuit, and author of the award-winning Say You're One of Them, will be appearing on Oprah Winfrey's show on a "worldwide webcast," on Nov. 9, the first time Ms. Winfrey is doing this for one of her authors.  Here's how her website describes it: "On Monday, November 9, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, you can talk LIVE to Oprah and author Uwem Akpan during a special worldwide Web event. CNN's Anderson Cooper will be there for the discussion. Don't miss out. " Part of the joy of Fr. Akpan's success comes in knowing how many more people--thanks to Oprah's show--will learn more about not only his wonderful stories, but also the reality of life in Africa.
