The Fresh Air interview was very well done. I had never heard of Ron Hansen before, but my ears perked up at the mention of Gerard Manley Hopkins. I know a priest who works in upstate New York and named his home Windhover after the Hopkins poem. Having read several other of his poems with great difficulty I have come to really appreciate his work. Hansen's interview and insights into Hopkins were really intriguing. Now I'm going to hunt down his earlier works for my summer reading list.
