At least he’s not saying that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, that Opus Dei murders people and that the Va

tican has misled believers about Christ for 2,000 years.

Here’s a trailer and behind-the-scenes look at the new Ron Howard film “Angels & Demons,” which looks marginally less silly than “The Da Vinci Code” (as does Mr. Hanks’s hair.)  The flick opens on May 15, and promises to be another smash hit worldwide.

Apparently, the Illuminati are planning to blow up the Vatican in a fit of pique.  Note how many time “the church” is mentioned in the first few seconds of this clip, and not in a good way.  “Some believe that the Illuminati are still with us in secret,” says Howard.  Some say that Dan Brown has been trading in anti-Catholic tropes (and yes, I’ve read the book) that would be greeted with outrage by other groups.  But  just some.

No this time around just a pope who fathers a child through artificial insemination and a murderous camerlengo and the old stick that the Church is against science.

Ron Howard is a real piece of work. Nothing new in hollywood. Opie sure has fallen. Lunacy on display is only entertaining sometimes. It's going to be an interesting 4 years now that the asylums have been emptied. It's a good bet that the left 'that call themselves Catholics'(why, I'm not sure) will be a large part of the ticket holders for anything Anti Christian. Dumb, duh dumb-duuummmmb, dummmmmb!

Actually I'm left leaning in my politics, and I skipped Da Vinci and will skip the new one. Whatever our more conservative sisters and brothers might think, I at least do not like seeing my church vilified, and I suspect many other "lefties" feel the same way.
