This week online, Father Jim Martin talks about his new book, A Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything, which is available for sale next Tuesday, March 9.

Listen to our conversation.

Plus, our weekly "In These Pages" feature highlights an archive article from 1988 detailing the troubling trend toward political disappearances in Honduras.

Read "Honduran Assassinations."

For more on Honduras today, see Tim Padgett's article in the current issue, "The Other America." Or watch a slide show documenting the country's political troubles.

Finally, in our weekly video segment, associate editor Kevin Clarke argues against the partisan bickering that has ensnared John Carr and other staff members of the U.S. bishops conference.

Mr. Clarke asks if American Catholics will shout at each other instead of dialoguing? Of course they will and have been doing so,just like other Americans. We Catholics are just as unchristian as our fellow citizens. Why shouldn't we be? The Church has not met the deep spiritual needs of its people.  The deep understanding of Jesus' message is lost to the laity, for the most part, because it is lost to the hierarchy for the most part, as well. You reap what you sow.
