Thomas Petriano is a professor and chair of Religious Studies at St. Joseph’s University, Patchogue, N.Y. He received his doctorate in systematic theology from Fordham University, writing his dissertation on Walter Kasper’s Spirit Christology under the direction of Elizabeth A. Johnson, C.S.J.
